Good Morning,
To my friends on the Purplecoo blog, hello all... I have trying to get on since yesterday, so not sure if this will work, but here goes...
Shame about all the goings on at CL, I echo in what many say, there are some very obvious winners in our minds, and we know who they are.
Sunny morning here in Almondbury, and I am struggling with prising one 15 year old out of bed at the moment, he has but a few short weeks left at school and the reality of working is making him lethargic... haha, what a shock has he coming?!
Wedding plans going well, caterers for the barbeque booked, bunting made, trillion s of miles of pale pink voile and pastel floral fabric at the ready for some serious girlie tablecloth manufacture. Icing roses in production each evening during the usual telly trash, with every third rose being not very shapely...ooooh I'll have to eat that one.
Had lost 6 pounds last week, by eating skimmed lettuce and low calorie fresh air, but this week (fat club tonight...) dont think i will have lost much, toast with butter yesterday, spag-bol for tea and some jelly babies, not a waist line shrinking menu is it? Its only 10 weeks to the wedding and I have not started my dress yet, hoping that I might even have to make it marginally smaller. (Picture me, the night before, hurredly adding roses to a meringuey cream silky creation, size ZERO, oops I meant TWO-ZERO)
I have not blogged much on CL Lately, been busy in garden, and its almost finished now, just waiting for mother nature to smile nicely on the new plants... more flowers= less visable soil for weeds to flourish. The veg is in the patch and the bench is built, complete with large terracotta concrete pot anchor. You see, we back onto fields and there is footpath diagonally accross this field that young rascals frequent, and yesterday morning I was heckled at the window by my neighbours, 70 somethings J and J. Their garden had been raided during the night, and the thieves had taken, a bird bath, and wait for it.... two concrete ducks, that Mrs J had said, must have been 'stolen to order'. 'The furniture is next, it'l all be gone by tomorrow' she said. So last night Keith, my mad intended made the aformentioned ton weight to attach by chain (which will be interwined with something aesthetically pleasing to the eye) to the bench to deter would be thieves.
Its a shame when you have to anchor your hanging nut feeder to the shed wall, but if the posse are 'stealing to order' ones Wilko fat balls then needs must.
Well, must go, got to dye ones greying roots this morning, before a cute child asks me politely why I am putting white stripes into my parting.
Have fun everyone
